"This was our 3rd visit to Mas de Cadignac and we had a splendid time once again! The house is always a delight as are the grounds warm pool and gardens. We swam in the pool, prepared delicious BBQ meals with the goodies from the local markets, picked fresh figs from a close by grove for dessert and reconnected with old friends. The setting was perfect for our 3 families and a good time was had by all with so many things for everyone in the house: ages 9-16 for the 6 children & we adults don't tell our ages any more!
The surrounding towns have great offerings at their weekend markets. This time we bought fresh fragrant lavender which was in great abundance. Also visited our favorite wine makers close by Domaine Reme Jeanne, who also have wonderful olive oil.
Thank you again for the use of your fabulous farm house nestled away in the french country side. The peace was appreciated and the view and sunsets spectacular.
It's a journey from Canada. Well worth it and we will be back as soon as we can!" - Dawn Carson friends and family from Nova Scotia, Canada 2011

"This was our fourth visit to the beautiful Mas de Cadignac, and once again we were not disappointed. As always we enjoyed the peaceful setting, the warm pool and the house itself. Highly recommended!" - Mala Pierre-Andrea Boutin and family

"Cadignac lived totally up to expectations on our second stay. I think more than anything we appreciated the courtyard as the superb hub of the holiday where we all gathered to eat, drink, chat or play boules. We really miss it now we are home. Most of all the meal Joelle, Rene's wife, provided was an evening which will be remembered by everyone for a long, long time, a brilliant cook who selected wonderful local food and wine. It was an absolutely superb evening and meal! Enjoy the rest of the summer and thanks once again both for letting us share Cadignac and also for all your help above and beyond this year. This being our second visit the Mas and gardens still look their splendid self and I’m certain we’ll be back sooner or later." - Tim Legge and extended family
"Thanks so much for the use of your house. We thought it was absolutely terrific and had a great week.We had many plans to visit the surrounding area but in the end couldn't drag ourselves away from the beautiful pool area and from long leisurely meals around the table in the courtyard. A barbecue at night in the courtyard under the stars with the wine flowing was hard to beat! We hope to be back next year!!!!" - Joby Davies and extended family
"We've just returned home from France, had a wonderful time travelling around but the farmhouse was fabulous, our favourite to date! We all thought about squatting for a couple of extra weeks but the lads had to go back to school. Thanks again." - Alf and Lynda Boulton and family

August 2010
"Our extended family visit to Mas de Cadignac more than lived up to expectations.
The property and grounds provide a classic Provencal setting, surrounded by vineyards the extensive stone buildings created enough space and facility for us all to enjoy ourselves without being on top of each other.
Particularly favourite aspects included the large central courtyard which provided enough space and furniture to accommodate sunny or shady eating or reading at any time of the day according to choice and need. The plethora of bathrooms gave us all personal space and privacy. Games in abundance prevented big and little kids, young and old from getting bored so long as the little ones could get a look in.
Even wash day was not a chore, walking out from the ample facilities to the lines spread across fruit trees while kicking up wafts of wild mint was quite an aesthetic experience.
Lasting memory was of recently arrived grandchild kicking and laughing in the pool then sparking out across Dad in the hammock for afternoon siesta. The star of the show was the best barbecue we have ever used – set to catch the evening courtyard sun it works so effectively we did not have a single charred or raw merguese throughout the fortnight.
We were also touched by the efforts made to adapt the building to give wheelchair access to our disabled son and the willingness to offer help, support and advice.
As a property and setting it had more than enough to give each of us a memorable and wonderful holiday. We are already talking about booking it for next August." - Tim Legge and extended family August 2010

"For our first visit to Mas De Cadignac we were treated to sunshine, wonderful local fruit and vegetables at the Easter Market and lovely wine from local Domaines. The house is spacious and well thought out. The fire places, at night, perfectly took the chill from the spring night air. The sky was a delightful shade of blue, perfect for sitting and sipping local rose. This is my favourite time of year for all the shades of green and bursting with life landscapes. it was a great treat to enjoy it in the South of France after much cooler Canadian spring weather. Hope to return again very soon. Thanks of anticipating the needs of your guests and providing so well. Namaste" - Dawn Carson, from Halifax, Canada

The adults loved the relaxing atmosphere, our Halloween Party in the cave was very atmospheric and great fun. NOT!" - Sarah, Andy, Emma, Matthew Cousins xxxx

"The property Mas de Cadignac is absolutely lovely - it was enjoyed by our whole group. Before we arrived we were concerned about the mobility issue of an old house as one of the party are awaiting knee replacements. However we need not have worried the layout of the property was very good especially the downstairs twin room at the end of the property with the adjoining wet room. Our whole party had a lovely holiday. The pool was gorgeous and although we didn't spend an awful lot of time inside, the lounges/dining areas were good. We seemed to spend most of our time sitting around the big table outside on the terrace. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was plenty of everything that we needed. I would recommend the property to any of my family/friends if they were looking for a property in that part of France. We liked the small town of Bagnols and also ventured further afield to Montelimar and went back to visit old friends in Beaucaire. I would also like to say that Rene was extremely helpful during our week." - Christine Agin and family
"The holiday was fantastic. We would have loved to have explored this wonderful area more, but couldn't get hte children out of the pool!" - The Hillsons

"The house was wonderful and accommodated five adults and two babies very comfortably. The pool was definitely the best we've ever experienced and we spent as many hours as possible per day in it and around it.. the surrounding countryside was beautiful, rural and serene.. we thought we would go out to eat most nights but the kitchen was such a pleasure to cook in and it was so lovely bbqing on the terrace that we rarely left the house. We'll definitely return." - Natasha Keogh and family

En aucun moment je me suis senti isole du reste de la famille et j'ai passe des vacances superbes!” - Pierre Andre Boutin et toute la famille

I feel refreshed and restored - this place has a magical quality.” - Les Jacobs

Just go there to breathe!" - Bernadette Reed
"What can I say! Thank you for an absolutely breathtaking holiday. What a fantastic place you have made in a remarkable part of the world. We had the best time, the craic and charm having no small part to play in the joy of my introduction to France.
There were many wine tastings, trips to the Pont du Gard, the Amphitheatre at Nimes, the Theatre at Orange, and many markets which were a great warm up to a leisurely lunch. For me the absolute highlight was exploration of Arles and lunch at the cafe painted by Van Gogh.
The whole area is so steeped in beauty and history I think it will take a lifetime to explore and I am looking forward to it... We have a serious notion to do it all again very soon.
Thanks for everything - I feel re-invigorated and am enjoying time in my studio trying not to forget the colours... In the meantime, it is nose to the grindstone, but every time I close my eyes I see Mas de Cadignac!" - Lisa Catherwood
